While in Japan only dump trucks with load capacities of up to 11 tons can drive on ordinary roads, there is no restriction on the load capacities of off-road dump trucks used on large-scale civil engineering and construction sites and in locations such as mines and quarries. Larger models can carry loads of as much as 300 tons. The HD785-7 has a load capacity of 91 tons, and huge wheels over two meters high.
