The starfighter carried four blaster cannons and two energy torpedo launchers, and could reach 1200 kilometers per hour in a planet's atmosphere. When not in flight, the ship could transform into a walking weapons platform, used for ground patrol and troop support. While in this walking mode, a droid starfighter could also latch onto surfaces in zero gravity, allowing the fighters to patrol from the outside hulls of capital ships. When docked in a hangar, they would often flex their components as part of self-maintenance. Vultures were also programmed to self-destruct if their link with their host control ship was severed. In support of Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Battle of Coruscant, the two Jedi are escorted by a squadron of ARC-170 fighters (aggressive reconnaissance fighters). Absolutely loyal to the Republic, the clone pilots have the mission of diverting the Trade Federations fighters and clearing the way for the Jedi. With the inbred obedience that they received in the Kaminoan breeding station, these brave fighters voluntarily sacrifice themselves, so that the Jedi can fulfill their mission. However, the clone pilots also have access to the skills of the bounty hunter Jango Fett and place themselves in the path of the enemy undaunted by death. The reconnaissance fighter has a class 1.5 hyperdrive and carries torpedoes and laser cannons. It is therefore less manoeuvrable than the Jedi Starfighter and the fate of the ARC-170 is decided solely by the know-how of the three-man crew..[revell]

This model was inspired by a Naboo N-1 Starfighter plastic model picture that I found on the net, it looks very stylish so I think it will be good if I make this fighter into paper model.

During the Battle of Coruscant, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former Padawan Anakin Skywalker embark on their most important mission. Both Jedi are instructed to rescue Chancellor Palpatine from the hands of the Separatists. Side by side the two Jedi battle their way through until they have fulfilled their dangerous mission. Like the young Skywalker, Obi-Wan also has the use of an Eta-2, one with dark red markings. The Eta-2 Jedi starfighter is the most highly developed fighter ever built. At 12,000 kph it reaches a speed that few enemies can equal. The starfighter, much smaller and lighter than its predecessors and therefore more manoeuvrable, is capable of hyperspace travel with the aid of a hyperdrive ring.
